This information was conveyed to the media by Nagaland’s Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton, who is the minister in charge of Home and Border Affairs, on the sidelines of the event at Police Headquarters (PHQ) in Kohima today.
He mentioned that the recruitment of constables for the seven departments was approved by the Cabinet and will be conducted through the Department Recruitment Board (DRB) with representatives from Personnel and Administrative Reforms (P&AR).
The Deputy CM also added that a three-year age relaxation had been approved, whereby the maximum age limit for applying to the constable post will be 38 years, considering the absence of recruitment in the past 3-4 years.

Sharma added that, besides providing inputs, the state would also strive to better regulate the Indo-Myanmar border, taking into account national security in general, and addressing the emotions and sentiments of the people along the border for proper considerations.
