The Mokokchung District Sports Council (MDSC) inaugurated its new office at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex, located opposite the badminton stadium, on 8 December 2025. The office was formally opened by the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, who also serves as the President of the MDSC. The programme was attended by presidents and members of various sister organisations, along with officials of the council.
A dedicatory prayer was offered by the Pastor of Tenyimi Fellowship Mokokchung. In his inaugural address, the Deputy Commissioner expressed gratitude to the MDSC officials for their efforts in establishing the office. He urged all stakeholders to make the best use of the facility and work together to elevate sports activities and development in the district.
Vice President of the MDSC, Martoshi Jamir, delivered the introductory speech. He stated that with the establishment of the new office, all associations affiliated with the council would be able to function more efficiently. He added that the office would help streamline communication and correspondence and enable the council and its member associations to operate in a more coordinated manner.
