An orientation programme on Goods and Services Tax (GST) was conducted by the Department of Commerce, Dimapur Government College, in coordination with the State Taxes Department and IQAC, DGC, on March 31 at the college’s seminar hall from 9 am onwards.
The resource person for the programme, Zulutemsu, Assistant Commissioner of State Taxes, Nagaland, Dimapur, highlighted the basic concepts and key features of GST, with special reference to Nagaland.
Chairperson of the programme, Mezhulhoulie Angami, Assistant Professor, outlined the purpose of the orientation, which was organised for students of B.Com and B.A. sixth semester studying GST, as well as eighth semester students of both streams.
Altogether, 110 students attended the programme, which concluded with an interactive session between the resource person and the participants.
