Mokokchung, 4 September (MTNews): District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Mokokchung hosted a Teachers’ Day program on September 4th at the DIET auditorium, centered around the theme “The Influence of a Teacher can never be erased.”

The event featured a series of performances by the students, showcasing their talents and skills. The program commenced with a Bible reading and an invocation led by Meliwe, a Lecturer.

 

First-year students presented a rendition of the special song “The Gardner.” Following this, Imchatoshi, a second-year student, paid tribute to the teaching profession in his ode to the teacher. He emphasized that teachers hold the key to unlocking the potential of their students and expressed profound gratitude to the educators who shape and impact the lives of their pupils.

 

The event also included various performances by the teacher trainees, who paid tribute to their teachers. As the program drew to a close, Dr. Abigail Swu, a senior lecturer, delivered a musical performance, adding a memorable touch to the occasion. Ochirenla, a first-year student, served as the event’s compere.
