Senior officials from the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) on Saturday reviewed key power and healthcare projects under the Prime Minister’s Development Initiative for North East (PM-DeVINE) and North Eastern Council (NEC) schemes in Dimapur, stressing timely completion and quality execution.
Angshuman Dey, Joint Secretary, MDoNER, conducted a project inspection in Dimapur district on January 17 as part of his official visit to Nagaland. The inspection covered the under-construction 220/132 kV (2×100 MVA) and 132/33 kV (2×50 MVA) Tsitrongse–Dimapur substation being executed under the PM-DeVINE scheme.
Dey also reviewed the upgradation works of the Radiation Oncology Department at the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR), Dimapur, which is aimed at strengthening cancer care facilities and improving access to advanced treatment services in the district.
The Joint Secretary was accompanied by Er Kasho Chishi, Chief Engineer (Transmission & Generation), Power Department, Asangla Imti, Secretary, Power Department, and Temsunaro Aier, IAS, Development Commissioner, Government of Nagaland, along with other senior officials.
According to DIPR report, Dey interacted with implementing agencies and district authorities during the visit and stressed adherence to timelines, quality benchmarks and effective utilisation of funds so that the projects deliver tangible benefits to the public. He is also scheduled to review several NEC-funded infrastructure and livelihood-based projects during his visit.
