The District Level Kala Utsav Competition 2025 for secondary and higher secondary students was held today at Ongpangkong Salang, Arkong Ward, Mokokchung, bringing together young talents from across the district.
A total of 10 schools participated in the competition organized by the District Mission Authority, Samagra Shiksha Mokokchung. The competition featured various art forms, including vocal music, folk dance, traditional storytelling and visual art in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional formats.
In the Vocal Music category, Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) emerged as the winner, while Senayangba GHSS claimed the Folk Dance title. Traditional Storytelling was won by Whetstone High School.
The Visual Art segment saw GHS Sungratsu winning the 2D category, while Mayangnokcha GHSS also bagged the 3D Visual Art award. GHS Dilong claimed the title in the combined 2D/3D Visual Art category.
