260 candidates appear for 5 posts; Temjenlila Kichu is lone female candidate
In what could be a first in Mokokchung, Temjenlila Kichu, a 31 year old female who is an avid traveler and loves driving enrolled for the District Level Recruitment Board Examination (Driver Grade-II Post) being conducted by the District Administration from 19 April till 22 April 2022 at Mokokchung Compound Ground.
Speaking to Mokokchung Times, Kichu said, “If boys can, why can’t girls” while adding that the said examination does not have any gender barriers; “It is just people’s assumption and misconception about jobs being gender specific,” she added.
Kichu further urged and encouraged the women folk to go beyond their comfort zone stressing that women and men are equal. She also hoped the DLRB examination would be examined according to the requirement criteria without any bias.
According to District Administration records, out of 260 candidates enrolled, Kichu is the only female candidate from the batch.
The results of the DLRB examination (Driver Grade-II Post) are scheduled to be out on the evening of 22nd April, where 60 candidates will be selected for Viva Voce to be conducted on the 23rd of April 2022.
There are currently only 5 posts open for the Driver Grade-II post at DC Office Mokokchung.
