Mokokchung, 01 October (MTNews): Dr Aotoshi, Managing Trustee of Nagaland Gandhi Ashram in Chuchuyimlang, Nagaland, was conferred the ‘Peace Channel Award’ by the Peace Channel, known as “A Youth Peace Movement,” for his commendable involvement in peacebuilding, women empowerment programs, and other gender-related issues. He was also recognized for his promotion of entrepreneurship, skill development, and the cooperative movement in Nagaland.
The award was presented during the second day of the 16th Peace Knit program organized by the North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR) and Peace Channel, in collaboration with Xavier Board-Eastern and NE region, North Eastern Social Research Centre, Guwahati, and North East Diocesan Social Service Society, Guwahati.
The program was held on the theme ‘Action for peace: Our ambition for the global goals!’ at Peace Centre, 7 Mile, Chümoukedima, Nagaland. The award was presented in the presence of Nagaland Minister of Higher Education and Tourism, Temjen Imna Along, and various religious and civil society leaders on Sunday
