Eagle Crest Training Academy & Consultancy (ECTAAC) officially launched its brand on February 15, 2025, in Dimapur under the theme “Soar, Lead, Empower.” The launch ceremony was graced by Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, NCS, as the chief guest, and District Employment Officer, Gideon Sumi, as the guest of honor.

In his address, Dr. Chang emphasized the need for skill-based employment and congratulated the Eagle Crest team for their commitment to youth empowerment through training and placement programs. Reflecting on his past association with the brand, formerly known as Emporium, he acknowledged its significant role in placing Naga youth in international job markets. He highlighted the issue of government job saturation, citing a recent recruitment drive where over 2,100 applicants competed for just 13 Grade-IV posts. Encouraging skill development as a viable employment solution, he assured continued support in his capacity as chairman of the Skill Development Committee.

During the event, Dr. Chang launched the company’s official website and alumni association, while Gideon Sumi unveiled the Tourism & Hospitality Training Manual. Sumi commended Eagle Crest’s efforts in skill development and emphasized the need for more institutions to equip unemployed youth for emerging job opportunities. He also lauded the Skill Loan Scheme, introduced in collaboration with IDAN, Government of Nagaland, which follows a “train, get a job, and pay later” model, aimed at assisting financially disadvantaged students.

The program commenced with an invocation by Alemsunep Jamir, Pastor of World Impact Community Church, followed by a welcome address by Temjenkala Aier, CEO of ECTAAC. Special musical performances by Jettina Jamir and Imliakum Aier added to the occasion.

Discussing the employment scenario, Sumi revealed that over 72,000 educated unemployed individuals are registered across employment exchanges in Nagaland, with Dimapur, Chumoukedima, and Niuland districts accounting for nearly 27,000 job seekers. Given the limited availability of government jobs, he urged training institutes to advance skill development initiatives and foster a culture where vocational training is viewed as a collective mission to uplift society.

Patricia Zhimomi, Vice Principal of CHSS, highlighted the importance of vocational training in career development. She commended Eagle Crest’s dedication to skill-building in the aviation, hospitality, and cruise line sectors, noting that 20–30% of her students had enrolled in the institute.

The event featured alumni and guardian testimonials, sharing insights on ECTAAC’s impact. It concluded with a vote of thanks by Allin Awomi, Operations Manager & International Placement Head, a benediction prayer by Asheli Yepthomi, Aviation Trainer, and a press conference with media representatives.
