Made in Noklak
Under the theme “Not Guns but Machines,” Wheels of Nagas (WON), a Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise in Noklak district, launched its first ever electric bicycle in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner of Noklak district, Hiazu Meru, and Dr. Pritpal Kaur, IPS SP Noklak. This innovation was undertaken through the initiative of ‘Innovative Noklak’ founded by Dr. Pritpal Kaur.
Tumong and P.Khuming (Def Noklak) invented the electric bike, with Dr. Kaur and the Punjabi community Dimapur under Dolly providing logistics, welding machines, and other raw materials. The electric bike has a top speed of 25kph and a power output of 250W. It measures 4ft.6″ in length and 3ft.6″ in height, and it can support up to 120kg in weight.
