The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) has resolved not to entertain invitations from any Naga political groups, reinforcing its commitment to the principle of “Unity first, Solution second” in the ongoing Indo-Naga political dialogue.

The resolution came after a thorough deliberation held at the ENPO’s headquarters in Tuensang, where leaders from all eight Tribal Councils participated. The meeting, convened on April 16, 2025, emphasized the detrimental impact of the growing number of Naga political factions, which the ENPO views as contradictory to the core principle of unity.

A statement from the ENPO confirmed that the multiplication of factions within the Naga political groups was viewed as divisive, undermining the solidarity of the Naga people in their pursuit of a common cause. The ENPO expressed concern that such splintering only served to weaken the collective strength needed for a unified political solution.

In light of this, the ENPO, in a unanimous decision, resolved to abstain from attending any programs or functions organized by any of the Naga political groups.
