Mokokchung, 23 March (MTNews): The Ex-Parliamentarians Association of Nagaland expressed sadness over their member’s loss and recollected Konyak as someone who always stood for ‘noble gesture with faithfulness’.

 

“He was always willing and prepared to hold the responsibilities in Government as well as for the welfare of the citizens, particularly his constituency,” the association added.
The Association while remembering him for his lifetime achievements extended sympathy and shared the pain together with his family members.

 

Meanwhile, the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) through a statement issued by Party President Chingwang Konyak stated that they are saddened at the untimely demise of the former Minister. He recalled Late Yollow as a straightforward person towards those whom he encountered throughout his life.

 

“As a promising leader his demise is indeed a great loss to not only the Konyak tribe but the Nagas as whole. His role and contributions as a public leader and legislator shall be fondly remembered and cherished,” the president stated and extended their sincere condolence to the members of the bereaved family on his own behalf and on behalf of the rank and file of the NDPP.

 

At the same time, the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly paid tribute to former MLA and Minister. Delivering the obituary reference at NLA Secretariat, Kohima on 23rd March 2023, Speaker, NLA, Sharingain Longkumer called Konyak a dedicated leader who worked tirelessly for the welfare of the people and that his passing will be an irreplaceable loss.The members also observed a minute of silence for the departed soul.
