A farmers’ training programme was conducted at the IPM Model Village, Rusoma, in Kohima district on February 21, 2026, under the project titled “Establishment of Crop-Based Model IPM Villages for Promotion of Integrated Pest Management Technologies in the NEH Region of India.”
The programme was chaired by Dr. Kevineituo Bier, Co-Principal Investigator. Project In-charge Prof. Bireswar Sinha highlighted the importance of Integrated Disease Management in citrus cultivation and stressed the adoption of eco-friendly and sustainable plant protection practices.
Dr. Bendangsenla Longkumer conducted a practical demonstration on biopesticide application, while Dr. Laishram Hemanta spoke on nutrient management. Dr. Sh. Herojit Singh highlighted the economic value of citrus cultivation. Fifty farmers participated. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Kevitshulie Suokhrie.
