The Department of Fire & Emergency Services will conduct test runs of fire tenders equipped with sirens on March 27, Thursday, to assess the readiness and efficiency of the fire response system. The test runs will take place in three phases: between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., and between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

This initiative follows directives from the Office of the Commissioner, Nagaland. The Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Thsüvisie Phoji, NCS, has urged the general public and concerned stakeholders to extend their cooperation during the test runs. He also advised that “sirens may have temporary disruptions in the normal activities.”

The objective of the test is to ensure readiness and effectiveness of the fire safety system in Mokokchung.
