The Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) organised a memorial service at Shalom Bible Seminary, Sechü-Zubza, in honour of its former leader, late Niketu Iralu.

The gathering brought together elders, friends and family members to remember Iralu and his contributions to peace, reconciliation and unity. Speakers recalled his commitment to reconciliation and his influence on Naga society.
His wife, Mrs Christine Iralu, and nephew, Rev Dr Sanyu Iralu, shared tributes, recalling his humility, courage and moral conviction. They said his legacy called on others to continue the journey towards peace and reconciliation.
The programme concluded with a candlelight prayer led by Mrs Pari Sanyu. The prayer and candlelight ceremony symbolised hope and reconciliation and served as a reminder of Iralu’s commitment to peace and unity.
The FNR reaffirmed its commitment to continuing the work of reconciliation and dialogue, describing Iralu’s life as an inspiration for pursuing healing, unity and shared responsibility for the future.
