A Career Guidance Program for the BA/BSc 6th Semester Students on the theme “Following your Dreams” was organised by the Career Guidance & Counselling Cell, FAC on 7th May 2022 at the College Auditorium, with Sentilong Ozukum, Civil Servant, Writer and an Alumnus as the resource person.
The resource person shared some of his concerns and purpose of visit, highlighting how we are all living in difficult times and that, it has become a necessity that we get back to reality. Dwelling on the grim reality of unemployment and the inability of the Government to provide employment opportunities for all, the resource person shared some of his suggestions. That a person should pursue Masters if only one is born for the subject; opt for competitive exams only when one is confident enough.
He also stressed on the importance of knowing oneself, thereby making one’s life worth living and also the advantages of acquiring skills with market value, being self-supportive, emphasizing on dignity of labour and preparing oneself for any kind of setbacks in life. Dr. J. Limainla Ao, Asstt. Prof., Department of History chaired the program. Principal, FAC, Dr. Temjenwabang delivered the welcome address. The vote of thanks was proposed by Talisenla, Convenor, Career Guidance & Counselling Cell.
