The newly elected members of Phek, Pfutsero, and Chozuba Town Councils under Phek district Nagaland have unanimously elected their chairman and deputy chairman.
Shevohu Nienu was elected as the Chairman and Chetezo Akami as Deputy Chairman of the Phek Town Council during a programme presided over by Deputy Commissioner, Phek, John Tsulise Sangtam at DC’s Conference Hall yesterday.
The newly elected members of the Pfutsero Town Council unanimously elected Mikha Kenye as the Chairman and Khazii Dukru as the Deputy Chairman to lead the Pfutsero Town Council.
MLA Dr Neisatuo Mero, in his speech, congratulated the elected councilors and called upon them to cooperate with each other and plan together for the development of the town. He also advised the elected members to work hand in hand for the betterment of Pfutsero Town.
Dr Mero thanked the Deputy Commissioner, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, and other concerned officials for the successful and peaceful conduct of the ULB election.
Meanwhile, NDPP Chozuba Town Unit informed that the formation of Chozuba Town Council was completed today with Sevonyi Keyho and Vezota Rhakho as Chairman and Deputy Chairman respectively.
