Former Governor of various states K Sankaranarayanan passed away at his residence here on Sunday. He was 89. Sankaranarayanan was the Governor of Maharashtra, Nagaland and Jharkhand. He had also held additional charges of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Goa as Governor. He was the Governor of Nagaland from February 3, 2007 to July 28, 2009.
He had been leading a retired life at his home Palakkad, Kerala since 2015. He is survived by daughter Anupama.
