The NPF Waromung Unit under the 29 Jangpetkong Assembly Constituency has reaffirmed its support for sitting MLA Temjenmenba after leaders and members from previously opposing political camps resolved to set aside their differences during a consultative meeting held on July 2.
According to a press release issued by the unit, the meeting, chaired by its president Imkongsashi, was attended by leaders and members who had belonged to rival political camps during the last Assembly election.
The participants unanimously resolved to move beyond differences that existed prior to the NPF–NDPP merger and pledged to work together in support of the MLA ahead of the next Assembly election.
The meeting also resolved to strengthen the party organisation at the grassroots through greater participation, mobilisation and engagement with the electorate.
The NPF Waromung Unit said members reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining unity and working collectively to strengthen the party’s prospects in the constituency.
