Four road projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), with a combined value of Rs 18.9 crore, have been taken up for the 30 Alongtaki Assembly Constituency.
According to a statement issued by the 30 Alongtaki Assembly Constituency Congress Committee (ACCC), the projects include the Lirmen–Tsuremmen road, estimated at Rs 10.38 crore; JRR Junction–Aonokpu road at Rs 2.46 crore; L026–Longjemdang road at Rs 2.60 crore; and T-01–Moayimti road at Rs 3.46 crore.
The ACCC said the projects would improve road connectivity for rural communities and provide better access to healthcare, education, markets, businesses and other essential services.
The party workers and office bearers of the 30 Alongtaki ACCC expressed appreciation to Lok Sabha MP and Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee president S Supongmeren Jamir, crediting his initiative and efforts for bringing the projects to the constituency.
The ACCC also acknowledged the role of Er Chubatoshi, Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B), Mangkolemba Sub-Division, for his guidance and assistance in facilitating departmental work related to the projects.
The party appealed to village councils, elders, youth organisations and the public to cooperate with the contractors once work begins and to collectively monitor and protect the projects to ensure that they are executed properly, transparently and according to prescribed standards.
The ACCC further expressed hope that additional development projects would be taken up to address the infrastructure and developmental needs of the constituency.
