State championship planned by December
The two-week-long Free Martial Arts Summer Coaching Camp and Tournament, organized by the Mokokchung District Martial Arts Association (MDMAA), got underway today at the Multi Sports Complex, Mokokchung. The coaching camp, open to all individuals aged 5 years and above, will run until July 5 and cover multiple disciplines, including Kung Fu, Wushu, Karate, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and Judo.

The camp is led by a team of experienced instructors, including Imyuangdang Leo (Karate), Toshimeren (Kung Fu), Metlesh (Muay Thai), and Bendangakum – 4th DAN, NKMAA (Wushu and Judo).
A total of 130 participants have so far registered for the coaching camp. Owing to the overwhelming response, the MDMAA informed that registration will remain open through the first week of the camp to accommodate more learners.
The MDMAA will also be organizing the All Nagaland Martial Arts Open Championship by December 2025. To prepare interested participants for the championship, the MDMAA has announced that regular training classes will continue beyond the summer camp until the tournament.
The coaching camp will conclude on July 5.
