Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has certified the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) Complex as “Clean and Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Market” as per benchmarks established by the FSSAI. The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Market at MMC Complex comprises of both local and non-local fruit and vegetable vendors.
This was confirmed by the ADC & Administrator of MMC, Chumlamo Humtsoe to Mokokchung Times. He said that the FSSAI authorities inspected and surveyed the market last year and was awarded the certification after finding it satisfactory. He also said that some restaurants and bakeries in Mokokchung were also inspected by the agency during the same period.
