The Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) will organise the G. Rio Memorial Volleyball Trophy, the 13th Kohima Open Volleyball Tournament, in the last week of October 2026 at Khuochiezie, Kohima Local Ground.
The decision was taken at the first executive meeting of the KDVA for the 2026-2029 tenure, held recently at the residence of KDVA president Mhalelhou Mere.
The meeting also decided to observe the KDVA Foundation Day on September 5 instead of September 3, the day on which the association’s foundation day falls annually. The decision was taken in line with the practice followed by previous office bearers and to make the occasion convenient for all members.
The newly elected KDVA team for the 2026-2029 tenure comprises Mhalelhou Mere as president, Hetuo Solo as vice president (administration), Neivikhotuo Vielie as vice president (sport), Keneikhotuo as secretary, Vikhozolie Rülho as joint secretary, Virüno Chase as treasurer, Vilesü Mekro as technical secretary and Visakuolie Kengurüse and Avitsi as assistant technical secretaries.
Pekruzekho Casavi and Keneilhoulie Chietsü have been appointed property secretaries, while Ruovikhonuo Kiewhuo, Abu Chietsü, Kezhasenuo Kuotsu and Nokethono will serve as women coordinators.
Chizokho Vero and Visosienuo Shüya have been appointed publicity secretaries.
The advisors are Visasielie Suhu, Keviselhou Peseyie and Keneilezo Sechü.
