The Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) will organise the G Rio Memorial Volleyball Trophy, the 13th Kohima Open Volleyball Tournament for men and women, from October 29 to 31 at Khuochizeie (Kohima Local Ground).
A total cash prize of Rs 4.60 lakh will be awarded in the tournament.
The men’s champion will receive Rs 1.50 lakh, while the runner-up will receive Rs 80,000. The losing semi-finalists will be awarded Rs 25,000 each.
In the women’s category, the champion will receive Rs 80,000 and the runner-up Rs 50,000. The losing semi-finalists will receive Rs 15,000 each.
Individual prizes of Rs 5,000 each will also be awarded for Best Spiker and Best Setter in both the men’s and women’s categories.
The registration fee has been fixed at Rs 5,000 for the men’s category and Rs 3,000 for the women’s category.

The tournament is restricted to local teams from Nagaland to facilitate player selection for the upcoming inter-district volleyball tournament.
KDVA said local teams from Nagaland may recruit or engage players from outside the state. However, a maximum of two players from outside Nagaland will be permitted to play in a match.
