The new school building of Government Higher Secondary School Kigwema in Kohima district was inaugurated by Kevileno Angami, Commissioner and Secretary for School Education and SCERT, Government of Nagaland, on May 4. The building was constructed under Samagra Shiksha Nagaland.

Addressing the gathering, Kevileno said the facility was built with a clear purpose to ensure quality teaching in the school. She urged the community to take care of the building and ensure that it benefits students. While appreciating the school’s consistent results, she noted that there remains scope for improvement in enrolment and academic performance.
Khomeze Mera also delivered a short speech.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Rose Chishi, while Mekhale Yhoshii invoked God’s blessings. The vote of thanks was delivered by Neiphrezo Thorie.
Officials present included Vikhweno Chale, Vineikho Tetso and Kevizakie Rio.
