Pungro, 23 May (MTNews): To commemorate World No Tobacco Day, a one-day awareness campaign was held on May 23rd in two government schools under Pungro Kiphire. The team was led by Dr. Weri Mero, Medical Officer of CHC Pungro. During the program, the ill effects of tobacco, harmful effects of smoking, and the number of deaths caused by tobacco each year were highlighted. Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials were distributed among the students.
