Kohima, 15 December (MTNews): Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan, graced the Nagaland State Level Yuva Utsav at IG Stadium, Kohima, on December 15, 2023. The program was jointly organized by the Department of Youth Resources & Sports and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan.

Declaring the competitions open, the Governor, who was the special guest, stated that his presence at the event was not only as the Governor but also as an admirer of the tremendous potential and spirited culture defining the young populace of Nagaland state and the country.

The Governor highlighted that this year’s Utsav celebrates the ‘Panch Pran’—the five vows serving as the driving force for the country’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by the year 2047. He stressed the importance of the five vows to achieve this target, including the goal of a developed India, eliminating remnants of the colonial mindset, taking pride in our rich heritage, and fostering unity and solidarity.

The Governor also called upon everyone to understand the mood of the children, urging the teaching of stories of India’s struggle for freedom to instill the spirit of patriotism. He further encouraged pride in the country’s rich heritage and protection of its honor and prestige. The Governor witnessed cultural items presented by different districts and visited stalls from various departments, including Forest, NSACS, SBI, and others. Accounts & Program Assistant, NYKS, Ruokuovikho Chale, who introduced Yuva Utsav, mentioned that district-level programs were successfully organized in 13 districts under the umbrella of Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland. The selected teams from the state-level competition will represent Nagaland.

The program was chaired by Secretary YR & S Anthony Ngully, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Director, YR & S Kethosituo Sekhose. Students, NCC cadets, BS&G members, and invitees from different wards and colonies attended the program.

  3. Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
