Kohima, 25 January (MTNews): The governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan, called for addressing all the shortcomings, including connectivity infrastructure and other necessary facilities, essential for the rapid economic progress of the state. In his message on the eve of the 75th Republic Day, Ganesan emphasized the need to unlock and utilize the economic potential for enhancing the standard of living of the people.

He said Nagaland, along with the country, has made significant progress since its formation as a state of the Indian Union, overcoming various challenges and achieving remarkable strides in education, economy, and infrastructure. Ganesan also highlighted the state’s success in preserving and promoting its rich cultural heritage, citing the annual Hornbill Festival as a popular event showcasing Nagaland’s cultural richness to the world.

Despite the achievements, Ganesan cautioned against complacency, emphasizing that the state has the potential for even greater heights in the future. He called upon citizens to work together towards the goal of a developed India by 2047, stressing that Nagaland cannot afford to miss the bus of development.

Ganesan concluded by urging citizens to march forward with integrity, determination, and unity to ensure a happy and prosperous future for all.

Reflecting on India’s journey as a republic, he expressed gratitude on the 75th Republic Day, paying tribute to the founding fathers and all those who sacrificed for the nation’s progress, emphasizing that their sacrifices should never be forgotten.
