The Governor of Nagaland has announced corrections to the spellings of certain festival names associated with the Yimkhiung tribe. The revisions are aimed at preserving the authenticity and cultural integrity of these names.
The corrected spellings are as follows: Wangtsunuo has been updated to Wunthsünyo; Metemneo is now officially Metümnyo. Tsungkamneo has been corrected to Tsüngkamnyo.
These amendments will be reflected in all official texts and records going forward.
