The Koinonia Prayer Centre at Tsiese Basa hosted its monthly revival program from March 7 to 8, culminating with a special service on Sunday evening that honored teenagers in celebration of Teenagers’ Sunday.

The event, organized by the Koinonia Media Ministry, was held under the theme: “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (1st Timothy 4:12). The program aimed to inspire and encourage the youth to lead righteous lives through faith and service.
Dr Kip Rio, Founder and Director of Teenagers Evangelism of the Nations (T.E.N.), was the guest speaker for the Sunday evening service. He shared the origins of T.E.N. and its mission, which is guided by the motto “Serve with Love” (Galatians 5:13).
In his address, Dr Rio urged the congregation to serve the Lord unceasingly, emphasizing that the mission to spread the good news of Christ is vast and requires constant dedication.
Dr Rio also highlighted the importance of the teenage years, calling them the most crucial phase of life, despite lasting only seven years. He encouraged teenagers to choose the right path, live with the fear of God, and stay true to their values. He drew inspiration from the Biblical story of Joseph, noting how, despite facing numerous trials in his teenage years, Joseph remained faithful and pure, ultimately rising to become Governor, straight from prison, as a reward for his faithfulness.
He also exhorted teenagers to persevere through trials and temptations, assuring them that such challenges are temporary. “God will protect and guide you if you fear and trust Him,” Dr Rio said, encouraging the youth to trust in God’s plan and to know that He will use them mightily.
The event was led by H Rokopra Mekro, Pastor of Koinonia Prayer Centre, with special performances by the students of Teenagers of Kohima Bible College (KBC), the youth of Koinonia Baptist Church, The Oasis, Ruokuozenuo Meyase, Ato Nienu, Mary Kim, and Vengoü Koza.
The program concluded on a hopeful note, with the congregation encouraged to continue their spiritual journeys, emboldened by the words of Dr. Rio and the communal support they received throughout the event.
