A night bus en route to Mokokchung from Guwahati encountered an accident near Changtongya Town. According to police sources, the accident happened at around 6-7 AM on Tuesday morning at the Longchara-PWD Ward Junction.
The vehicle bearing the number NL 02 B 2462 (Blue Hill) was carrying a total of 10 passengers and the driver at the time of the incident. Four individuals received minor injuries. The bus driver when questioned by personnel of the Changtongya Police Station revealed that the accident was caused by a “steering failure” that led to the bus losing control.
