Heavy rain and thunderstorms expected: NSDMA issues advisory for Nagaland

The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has informed that in the coming days, Nagaland will experience light to heavy rainfall which is expected to be fairly widespread. According to the NSDMA, thunderstorms are expected in the districts of Peren, Dimapur, Niuland, Kohima, Phek, Wokha, Mon, Zunheboto, Mokokchung, and Longleng on October 10 and 11, 2024.

Meanwhile, the remaining districts may experience partly cloudy conditions with light rain continuing until October 15, 2024.

In this regard, NSDMA, Home Department has urged the public to exercise caution to avoid any eventualities during this period. The NSDMA also requested all the District Disaster Management Authorities and other line departments to be on alert to save lives and properties during this monsoon period.
