Mokokchung, 16 June (MTNews): The Highland Institute, an independent research centre in Kohima, has announced its call for applications for the 2023 Internship Program. During the Program, interns are trained in a variety of research and other professional skills. Specifically, they will receive training in communications, literature searches, writing for publication, and data handling, and will also have the chance to participate in practical fieldwork.
“Those wishing to pursue further studies (e.g., PhD programs) will be advised by The Highland Institute’s network of experienced national and international Fellows, drawn from various disciplines. Interns can also hone their organizational skills by participating in Highland Institute events such as school workshops and exhibitions,” an update received here said.
It also mentioned that at the end of the internship, every effort will be made to place the top performers in Highland Institute projects or those of its associates. Currently, six former interns are employed on such projects.
