Mokokchung, June 9 (MTNews): The Mokokchung District Combined Colleges (MDCC) Students’ Bodies consisting of Fazl Ali College Students’ Union, People’s College Students’ Union, Tuli College Students’ Union and Students’ Council Jubilee Memorial College, in solidarity with late Mapuienla Longkumer, who was a student of St. Joseph University, Chumoukedima, and to seek justice for her, has declared to hoist black flags in the colleges for 5 days with effect from 10th of June 2022. The student bodies further warned to “resort to further course of action if the investigation is not brought to its conclusion and the culprit booked within the next 5 days.”

The MDCC Students’ Bodies also expressed their “disappointment at the statement made by Dimapur Police during a recent press conference on the hit-and-run case in Dimapur and the subsequent FIR lodged by St. Joseph University Students’ Council on 26/05/22.” Further, MDCC Students’ Bodies have demanded “reinvigorated investigation into the case to book the culprit immediately.”

MDCC also acknowledged the various students’ bodies, organizations and individuals for their support and contribution “towards this cause.”
