The Home Department, Government of Nagaland, has announced that a High-Level Consultative Meeting will be held on April 30, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at the State Banquet Hall to deliberate on several critical issues currently facing the state.
According to an official notification, the meeting will focus on topics including Road Development, with special reference to the Foothill Road and the Showba-Pangsha Road construction projects; Free Movement Regime (FMR) and issues related to the Protected Area Permit (PAP); Maintenance of peace in the state in light of recent political developments; and Inner Line Permit (ILP) issues.
The meeting will be attended by the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Ministers, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), Ministers, Members of Parliament (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha), Advisors, MLAs, the Chief Secretary, and other senior officials of the state government.
In addition to government representatives, the notification requests the presence of civil society leaders and tribal bodies, each represented by three delegates, including:
