Hope Academy students explore agricultural sciences at Nagaland University

A group of 120 students from Hope Academy, Chumoukedima, on February 12, 2025, accompanied by six faculty members, embarked on an educational field trip to the School of Agricultural Sciences, Nagaland University (SAS, NU). During the visit, the students explored various specialized project units and departments, including the Entomology Insect Museum, Plant Pathology Disease Museum, Library, Educational Museum, the All India Coordinated Research Project on Honeybee Pollinators, and STINER-TFC.

Faculty members and project in-charges provided detailed briefings on the various departments, enhancing the students’ understanding of agricultural sciences. The trip concluded with a valuable interaction with the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Akali Sema, and the Dean, Prof. L. Daiho, SAS, NU.

The visit was coordinated by Dr Sentirenla Jamir, Assistant Professor, Department of Horticulture, and Dr Tsarila ZT Sangtam, Guest Faculty, Department of Livestock Production & Management, SAS, NU, Medziphema Campus.
