Mokokchung, 27 March (MTNews): Independent candidate for the 18th Lok Sabha Election 2024 in Nagaland, Hayithung Bill Lotha, said on Wednesday that there is currently an intense pressure from various quarters to make him withdraw his Lok Sabha independent candidature. However, he clarified that he has “strongly decided” to stand by his “political ideology, philosophy and principles,” adding that he believes “in the beauty of India as the world’s largest democracy.”
He claimed that various political alliances want him on their side as “I am a man deeply rooted in Naga Nationalism and the greater interest of the Nagas as a whole.”
He further dismissed rumors about his “Lok Sabha race withdrawal.” “There is absolutely no truth in it as I am not a money/material wealth monger,” he declared.
