12kms away from Mokokchung town, under Ungma village, Institute of Communication and Information Technology (ICIT), Mokokchung was established in the year 2003 under the 3rd Technician Education Project assisted by the World Bank with an objective to impart high quality technical education along with professional ethics and values.
The Institute is approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and is administered by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Nagaland.
The Institute at present offer 3-year Diploma Programs in:
i) Computer Engineering (CPE)
ii) Information Technology (IT)
iii) Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
After the completion of the diploma course, the interested students can pursue for another 3 years Degree Engineering Course through Lateral entry in various Engineering Colleges /Universities.
The Institute has the responsibility to produce employable technicians, Entrepreneurs and also to uplift the community through technology transfer. ICIT also offer Skills-Training/ up-gradation Course and organize Technology transfer program for the Rural Community and nearby schools and colleges.
How to get admitted
Admission to the institute is given to the successful candidates of the Diploma Entrance Examination (DEE) conducted by the State Council for Technical Education (SCTE) Nagaland.
The Candidates who have appeared HSCL / HSSLC under any Board or have passed class –X with minimum of 45% marks in Mathematics and Science may apply to appear for DEE.
Interested candidates may apply for online application form for DEE for the academic session 2022-23 through the Technical Education Department website www.dtenagaland.org.in. Last date for the online application is 18th May 2022.
