The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning over the Northeastern states till Sunday. The IMD said that fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall, along with gusty winds reaching up to 50 kilometers per hour, is likely over the region during the next five days.
