Mokokchung, December 2 (MTNews): Following the postponement of the IMDH road blockade from Police Point to Sewak Gate via IMDH, the four youth organizations of Penli, Majakong, Artang, and Lijaba Lijen wards, in a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, on Friday, stated that the scheduled bandh was postponed ‘in good faith’ till December 15, 2022.
The youth organizations also noted Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner’s information that the work will begin once the Urban Engineering Wing of the Department of Urban Development complete all necessary official formalities.
In this regard, the youth associations expressed hope that during this fortnight, the Urban Engineering Wing, DUD, would complete the necessary works in earnest and start the repair works as soon as possible.
However, they added, “if the necessary official works are not completed within the next fortnight and if the repair works are not started,” the Core Committee of the four wards would carry on with their own course of action, “and the consequences thereof will be borne solely by the government.”
