His journey with music began in 2013 when he was first provided with an opportunity to sing in a music show and that was the beginning of his journey as a musician as he picked up his interest in music from there.

Another chapter opened in his life when Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo approached him to do a discipleship training school program with YWAM Lonavla, Pune, Maharashtra in 2018. When he landed there, he chose to be a part of the school of worship where he improved his music skills yet again.

And it was 2018 when he first wrote his song, Everlasting God, and to make his music known to the world by recording and uploading it on YouTube, he worked as a labourer in constructing his friend’s house for two months. And finally, he managed to get his music out on his personal YouTube channel @ImlongNMusic in 2021, that is, after four years since he wrote the song.

Little did he know that his song, ‘Everlasting God’ was nominated for the Music Award of Nagaland in the Gospel category in 2021 and it not only earned him a nomination but even got an invitation call from the director of Shiloh Music Production in Ranchi, Jharkhand, asking him to be part of the production.

Shiloh Music production is founded by  Rupesh Jaiswal & Wife Susanna Jaiswal, who, during their stay in California had a vision to encourage gospel music among youths and help the gospel music reach the corners of the world. And in this belief, they started the Shiloh production.

Imlong now works as an artist with the production and has released their latest song, “Beautiful” on YouTube.

“We are still working on some songs which we will be releasing soon,” Imlong said.

“I am still a struggling artist but by the Grace of God, Shiloh Music Production is helping me release my original songs and I am thankful to God and the Shiloh Music Production team,” he added.

Imlong draws his inspiration from renowned Naga singers like Tali Angh and Alobo Naga and shared how they inspire him through their music as well as their personalities.

“Music has helped me reach out to the hearts of many people and I am very happy that I can share the love of God through music,” he shared.

Speaking about how Music has helped him, he believes Music is created by God to allow people to express their hearts through music.

“Music even has taken me to places which I never thought of going. I just feel very blessed,” he concluded.
