Impur, June 22 (MTNews): ANM School of Nursing, Impur Christian Hospital (ICH), held its first Lamp Lighting Ceremony on June 21, 2022.

“In the profession of nursing, this ceremony is the most significant event, as it allows a person to enter the nursing profession,” an update from Impur by Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary, ABAM said. Imtinaro, Principal of ANM School of Nursing ICH, Impur, administered the nursing oath-taking and said that ICH was honoured and thrilled to have 20 students take the nursing oath this year.

Rev. Sentisashi, President, ABAM, the guest of honour of the ceremony, offered the dedicatory prayer for the 20 ANM students. Meanwhile, he also exhorted the students by saying that character is the primary qualification of a nurse. “Your character is potentially placed with the power to change the mindset of the patients. Be a person with good character,” he added.

He further said service from the perspective of God is that “the more you serve, the more popular you become.” He added, “Be the one who serves others at any cost for service to man is service to God.”

“As a project, Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) looks forward to seeing significant achievements by the ICH and students as they enter the nursing profession,” Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener added in the press release.
