Dimapur, 15 February (MTNews): The Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games 2024 held the First Pencak Silat on 15th February 2024 at Immanuel Hall, Y. Zhimo colony, Dimapur with Zasivikho Zakiesato, President of Dimapur Urban Council Chairman Federation as the Special Guest.
The event was carried out by 72 players from 6 District with 14 Technical Officials.
The Nagaland Pencak Silat Association (NPSA) was formed on 15th February 2019 under the Presidency of Khevishe Sema and General Secretary Deep Kumar. It aims to raise youth awareness about the harmful effects of using drugs and other undesired substances and main goal is to provide assistance and serve as a social service to enable young people to participate in sports like Pencak Silat. It also creates employment opportunity or any other relevant prospects as such for the players.
