New Delhi, 12 July (MTNews): In a significant step towards tackling and mitigating the menace of cybercrime, the I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has unveiled the Cyber Crime Volunteer Framework. This initiative aims to actively involve citizens in the fight against cybercriminals, ensuring a clean and safe cyberspace for all.

The Cyber Crime Volunteer Framework serves as a platform to bring together individuals who possess a passion for serving society. Its primary objective is to empower citizens to actively participate in combating cybercrime and spreading awareness among the general public.

Access to the framework has been made available through the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP) at www.cybercrime.gov.in. Any Indian citizen who wishes to contribute has been asked to register as a “Cyber Volunteer” by clicking on the dedicated “Register as a Volunteer” tab and following the provided instructions.

According to the MHA, the volunteers will serve as a bridge between the Law Enforcement Agencies of the State and the Citizens and help spread awareness among the people and reach out to the public through various social media platforms or any other means of communication.
