Mokokchung, 13 August (MTNews): The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) has launched the ‘Super Shakti SHE’ program at the National Convention of Youth Congress in Bengaluru for women empowerment.

 

A press release from the Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress (NPYC) informed that under this program, the IYC will initiate the maximum participation of women on the occasion of Independence Day on 15 August “so that the glimpse of women empowerment will be seen at every state level. District level and Assembly level of the program organized by Youth Congress and hoist the flag for their rights and participation.”

 

The release stated that the main objective of “Super Shakti SHE” as described by the National President of Indian Youth Congress, Srinivas BV, is about the “Safety and Empowerment of women” across the country.

 

“Due to the atrocities on women, they are being suppressed and punished. Efforts are being made to stop them from moving forward, to remove this inequality, Youth congress has started “Super Shakti She” program so that every woman of the country couldn’t depend on anyone for her rights and share,” it said.

 

“Youth Congress has been making such efforts in the past through many programs and will continue to do so in the future as well,” the release signed by Limayangba, President, NPYC said.

 

As per the resolution adopted during the Youth Congress Convention held in Bengaluru, the state youth Congress will strongly comply with the direction given by the IYC President to hoist the National Flag on 15 August by women activists in their respective jurisdictions, it added.
