Mokokchung, 21 April (MTNews): The Nagaland state unit of the Janata Dal (United) said that some of its members voted against the directives of the party in the recently held parliamentary election in the state, and that disciplinary actions will be taken against them.
“The JDU also regrets to convey that some of its members have also cast their votes against the directives of the party for which disciplinary actions will be taken after proper assessment of the voting patterns and result,” the party said in a statement on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the JD(U) Nagaland has expressed its gratitude to all the supporters who adhered to its request and voted for the NDPP and PDA consensus candidate Dr Chumben Murry.
“Your support with votes will surely strengthen the PDA/NDA alliance as the nation gears towards Modi-3 after 4th June 2024,” the party said in a statement on Sunday.
