The Department of Sociology, Jubilee Memorial College, Mokokchung, organised Colloquia Series III on August 28 on the theme “Transforming Knowledge into Purposeful Action and Lasting Social Impact”.

Dr Noyingbeni T. Erui, the resource person, encouraged students to apply knowledge meaningfully to create positive and lasting social change. Drawing from her experiences in entrepreneurship, teaching, research and mentorship, she emphasised the importance of transforming knowledge into purposeful action.

Dr Erui encouraged students to develop their skills, preserve cultural traditions and pursue creativity with purpose and sustainability. She also urged them to think critically, act responsibly and contribute meaningfully to society.

The session concluded with an interactive discussion involving students and faculty members.

The programme was moderated by Opanglangba of the fifth semester, while Benjongkumla of the first semester served as rapporteur. An overview of Colloquia Series II was presented by Watilong of the third semester.

The session provided students with an opportunity to reflect on the role of knowledge, creativity and responsibility in creating meaningful social impact.
