Commissioner & Secretary for Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland, Anoop Khinchi has asserted that every possible effort will be provided from the government for development and progress of medicinal plants sector in the state.

Khinchi was speaking after inaugurating the exhibition stall for State Medicinal Plants Board and National Ayush Mission, under the initiative of Ayush Wing, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare was inaugurated at Medicinal Herbal Garden in Kisama on December 1, 2024.

In his speech, Khinchi emphasized the significant role that medicinal plants can play in enhancing both the health and livelihoods of the people in Nagaland. He encouraged the Ayush staff to continue their efforts in promoting the use of medicinal plants, highlighting their immense potential as a sustainable resource for the Naga community.

Dr T Bendangtula, Deputy Director (Ayush), expressed gratitude to Khinchi for spearheading the establishment of the exhibition stall, which showcases a variety of Ayush items.

The stall offers medicinal plant saplings, herbal teas, Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic medicines, and local herbal products like Ginseng, Rhododendron juice, and essential oils, all highlighting Nagaland’s rich herbal heritage.
