The Gorkha Baptist Church (GBC) Kiphire observed Pastor’s Day 2025 with a thanksgiving service dedicated to honouring their pastor and family for their service and leadership. The program was led by the Praise and Worship Team in an atmosphere of reverence and gratitude.
Sonu Chettri chaired the program and read from Jeremiah 23:4, highlighting God’s promise to provide faithful shepherds. Hymn “Power in the Blood,” followed by an invocation prayer from Deacon Bhupendra Poudel, opened the service. Scripture reading from Exodus 17:11 was shared by Biru Thulung. The Women Department (i/c Asela Gurung) presented a special song, followed by solo performances from Khumcholila and Chumrili.
Suresh Thapa, Youth Pastor, led a special prayer for the Pastor and family, during which they were honoured with gifts from the congregation. Deacon Bimal Khadka then led the Offertory Prayer. The day’s message was delivered by Pitongla Thulung, Women Pastor of GBC Kiphire, who spoke from Ephesians 4:11 and 1 Corinthians 12:17–18, 22, encouraging the church to uphold and support their pastors.
The congregation joined in singing “Amazing Grace,” before the benediction led by Kritaman Gurung. The celebration concluded with a photo session and light refreshments, marking a meaningful day of fellowship and appreciation.
