Inspector General Assam Rifles (North), Major General Manish Kumar SM, on Saturday visited Kiphire. Interacting with civil society organizations and public leaders, the IGAR extended his appreciation and gratitude to all the CSOs, student unions, and media persons. He thanked them for their unwavering support and solidarity, particularly in the Kiphire area.

During his visits and travels around Kiphire, he observed that the people from all tribes and communities are wonderful, cheerful, and welcoming. He expressed his happiness to be among responsible citizens.

As a soldier, IG Manish Kumar shared his emotions, saying, “We leave our families and elders behind, and in times when we need a shoulder and encouragement, we find it in the embrace of elders and the people of the land. We are forever grateful to you all.”

He emphasized that the AR will stand by the people not as a favor to the Naga community but as responsible family members, thanking them for “accepting us as one family.”

He highlighted various initiatives under the AR in the state, supporting students in education and widows in welfare, making a difference in small but significant ways.

Encouraging the people to always approach the AR if they need assistance, he said, “We are here for you all.”

He concluded by urging the people to continue this beautiful relationship for the betterment of society and the country.
